Dr. Orion Jones is a leadership consultant, speaker, educator, and founder of True North Motivation. His work helps leaders better understand themselves, strengthen how they lead others, and create healthier organizations through greater self-awareness, accountability, emotional mastery, and intentional action.

His doctoral research focused on transformation from within, culture, and how internal alignment can influence behavior, growth, and leadership effectiveness—research that helped shape the foundation of his Inside-Out Leadership approach.

THE WORK IS PERSONAL
Leadership has been shaped by more than titles and positions.
For more than two decades, Dr. Orion Jones has led across collegiate athletics, higher education, executive operations, infrastructure, business, and organizational development. Those experiences taught him that leadership is rarely just about technical skill. The way people respond under pressure, communicate, build trust, and influence others is deeply connected to who they are beneath the title.

That understanding became more focused through his doctoral journey. His research explored transformation from within and how self-reflection, identity, culture, spirituality, and self-determination can influence behavior, growth, and leadership development. The work gave language and structure to ideas he had experienced throughout his own leadership journey.

Inside-Out Leadership grew from the connection between lived experience and research. It is built on the belief that lasting leadership change begins internally—when leaders better understand themselves, they are better equipped to lead others with clarity, accountability, purpose, and intention.
